Linxens and FlexMedical Solutions team up to deliver ready-to-use functionalized electrodes for next-generation biosensors
Levallois-Perret, June 10 2025 – Linxens, a global leader in design and manufacture of component-based solutions, announces a strategic collaboration with FlexMedical Solutions (FMS), a UK-based expert in the design, development and manufacture of functionalized biosensors and microfluidic test cartridges for point-of-care diagnostics and wearables.
With a focus on medical diagnostics, the collaboration will operate under the Linxens Healthcare brand, the Group’s dedicated business unit for connected health solutions. Together, FMS and Linxens aim to deliver a comprehensive solution for functionalized electrodes, accelerating the development and commercialization of diagnostic devices.
By combining Linxens’ high-volume roll-to-roll manufacturing capabilities with FMS’s extensive expertise in assay development and electrode surface functionalization, this joint offering bridges the gap between innovation and industrialization. Customers will have access to high-performance, ready-to-integrate electrodes, tailored to their target biomarkers, helping them accelerate the launch of new diagnostic products, bringing them to market faster and more efficiently.
“This collaboration expands our biosensor portfolio by integrating functionalization capabilities, enabling us to deliver end-to-end solutions — from flex-PCB or printed electrodes to fully functional sensor platforms,” said Minh Le, Vice-President of Linxens Healthcare. “Together, we streamline the journey from R&D to mass production, accelerating the delivery of innovative diagnostic solutions.”
“We share Linxens’ vision of enabling better healthcare through smarter diagnostics,’ added Kevin Fallon, CEO, of FlexMedical Solutions. “By joining forces, we combine design expertise, scientific insight, and mass manufacturing know-how to offer customers flexible, scalable, and cost-effective biosensor solutions. No doubt, this alliance will offer significant benefit to many organisations seeking both expert product development and manufacturing longevity. ”
This joint initiative focuses on disposable diagnostic components such as test strips, cards, and cartridges, primarily using electrochemical sensing technologies. These solutions target a wide range of applications from point-of-care diagnostics and wearable biosensors to chronic disease management, and connected health platforms
